Stilman's response to the interview question "Have you seen Gossip Girl?": It's the usual garbage. And people describing, inaccurately, things they don't know anything about. Unfortunately, garbage creates more garbage. People imitate it because that's the way they feel like they should act. I think Metropolitan is the antithesis to Gossip Girl.
I watched this movie the other day and it was just great. A bunch of UES college kids home for Christmas, making their rounds at parties, talking and talking with each other. Clever and easy to take in without being shallow, it hit the spot.
