Best Neighborhood Details

Last week I ran over to Jeff's house in Brooklyn.  Now I'll always remember he lives in Crown Heights because the painting on the wall told me so.  I have hardly ever seen such an inspirational pro-community wall painting.

Bob Barker would approve,

Except, I'm no veterinarian, but I don't think this is what it means to be spayed or neutered.

I used to love giant squids.  But this seems to be a giant octopus.  So I barely care.

They say that the neighborhood is open-minded and accepting but I think it still has a ways to go.

I was out there to have a hole in my pants fixed.  And to socialize.  If you'd like to see how Jeff's work turned out, I'd be happy to show you.

Went home, had asparagus.  Almost poached an egg.

I've been thinking about poaching my first egg over some asparagus I bought. What method did you use? No matter what, I'm sure I'll lose a few good eggs in the process.

This one I slipped into a little pot of boiling water and took out when it looked like it was done. No salt, no vinegar, no adjusting of heat, and it worked. Pretty much.
