Best Sign of Summer, or Spring, Whatever

It seems New York likes to have something to look at every summer, something you can say: "Hey, did you see that [name of thing] yet?"  This year's thing?  A giant sculpture of a yellow teddy bear in front of the Seagram Building on Park Avenue.

The bear is by an artist named Urs Fischer and is going to be auctioned off at Christie's in May but will be on display for the whole summer.  It's 23 feet tall and I don't know how much it weighs.  Probably a thousand tons or something.

Other signs of spring--these are cherry blossoms, right?

Another piece of public art on display this year on 58th street until trash collection day.
