Best Party of the Year, Every Year

January 25th, or "Christmas in January", as I like to call it, is Andy's birthday and, in some ways, the real start of the new year for me.  Really I don't know what else to say about it besides that I start looking forward to it every year around September and that it's a party that never lacks in awesome.

And here he is, the man of the hour.  We all had a good laugh about how his outfit reminded us of his cake from two years before.

The usual suspects gathered last night like King Arthut's knights at the Round Table.

And a new friend joined us that night, Andy's neighbor Gazer.

Cake time!

The traditional ice cream cake was replaced by a rather delicious chocolate cake this year.  We moved to have this chocolate cake every year, motion was sustained.

Present time!  I got Andy the Shaggy Dog starring Tim Allen.

Christian got Andy a John Bytheway book.  Have you heard Andy's theory yet?  The one that John Bytheway is either John the Beloved or one of the Three Nephites?

Holy cow!  Gazer got Andy a webcam!  Can you imagine Andy with the power of video chat at his disposal?!

And then a few of us went in on a digital picture frame for Andy.  I had a delightful time that afternoon loading it with pictures of Andy's friends, Andy's heroes, and cats.

Andy wanted to check his picture with Anna to make sure he looked happy enough.

What about me?  Do I look happy enough?

And then, after hours of revelry, the party came to a close.  Andy saw us off in the hall, it was a grand night.  Hope to see you there in 2012!
