This year's concert buddies: The Mulcocks, Michael and Jeff (and Caitlin, but at this point in time she was probably on the subway).

This year's opening act: "Planningtorock."

Errr.

This picture is all the review of a planningtorock performance that you'll ever need:

The Soundsystem came out to back her on her last song and it was ferocious and a harbinger of the awesomeness to come.

Then is was LCD Soundsystem time. Mr. James Murphy's band never does bad. They are always brilliant live. Especially nice was, although the band had just released a new album, they didn't neglect their first record. The set was a beautiful mix of the old and new and the concert was an excellent party.

Or maybe that should be shorts of silver?

I will always recommend that you catch LCD Soundsystem whenever you can.

I will be attending the Arcade Fire show here in DC in about a month. Jealous, aren't you?
Will you dance as hard at Arcade Fire as I did at LCD Soundsystem? Doubtful...extremely doubtful.
Arcade Fire? Those guys are still around?

LCD will be here in a month too. I will see them too, and I WILL dance as hard.
I can't help it that DC gets the bands second.
