It certainly appears to be BOM related. What's with the weird naked pregnant lady in a dark room, though?

It's based on ancient Mayan texts and history; I think, principally, the Popul Vuh was used for the religious elements. The dialogue will be entirely in Yucatec. It's only natural that we would recognize some correspondences, since many of the native cultures preserve elements of the Lamanites, Nephites, Jaredites, et. al.

I was disappointed to hear that he'd canceled plans to make a film about the Maccabees, but then I heard about this over the summer. I'm excited to say the least.

Ian - you are the reason for the season bro. Okay, not entirely, but your religious commentary proved appropriate here more than ever!

Go Mel - my mom wants to make out with you...

Oh my gosh, he even puts the 3 days of darkness in it (you can tell by the eclipse). Shouldn't someone tell him we've already made this movie. Although his special effects look better.

did anyone else see Mel Gibson with a doobie in his mouth standing with the painted white people? It was like 1 or 2 frames. Classic.

I'm never going to be sarcastic on my own blog again.

Us Mormons, we think we own everything that ever happened in the Americas before the conquistadors showed up.

We don't?
