...I knew about this earlier:
Writer's strike. Creativity crippled. No new TV anywhere. It's all drying out and soon everything will be in repeats. Where do the writers go? The actors? What do they do now? What do we do?
One Answer:
New "episodes" of Saturday Night Live are being put on at the Upright Citizen's Brigade. This week's host is Michael Cera.
What do I mean?
What I mean is if I had known to know about this, I (or you) could have paid $20 to see a freshly produced and written new episode put on in a basement beneath a grocery store here in New York. What is usually consumed by the millions each Saturday night is now served up for 150.
I don't mean to totally exalt the show...but come on! This is cool.
I've also heard they'll be staging new "episodes" of 30 Rock at the UCB as well. What do you think of that?
PS Let the desperate Craigslist pleadings begin!

if only...
Who cares about what is happening to fresh content - what about the ratings??? What about my guaranteed ratings for Late Night television? How are people going to buy sandwiches if they don't know they exist and they made one guy thin?
Congrats on passing the bar exam Brigham!
