Best "This was Monday. I'm a Little Short on Words."

Monday, while Jared was working the convention, Karen and I took the longest walk in the world and took all the photos in the universe.

First we went to check out what sort of trouble might have gone down in Union Square the night before. Turns out it was statue defacing trouble that went down.

Then we went over by Gramercy Park and I realized that, wow, there are lots of neat houses around the park.

Or maybe they're cottages?

Do I really have to write captions for everything? Like, "Wow, and then I saw this window that I wanted to take a picture of!"? You know what, I'm not going to caption everything.

We went to have lunch at one of those crazy First Ave Indian spots.

So Karen is like, "Hey Brigham, I think you'll like these pictures I took of you."

And she was right.

But me, I mostly photographed the restaurant's various danglings.

Karen sure knows how to make soup look good.

They were filming Law and Order: SVU at Orchard and Houston.

Why must I live in an age where I can't shop at Louis Zuflacht?

Instead, this is what I'm stuck with:

We stopped in at Economy Candy. I'm desperate to try the new Take 5 bar, I can't find it anywhere.

Before calling it a hike Karen and I stopped in at Nom de Guerre. Some dude was shopping there, I think it might have been the boss of the Roots.

That night I took Jared and Karen down to Peep. Because that's what I do with all my important visitors.

I know there has to be a brilliant caption for this photo. A brilliant caption that just isn't coming to me. So it goes.

For dessert we went to a corner store for candy. Can it be that I only imagine the Take 5 to exist?

Amber and I went and caught the Bravery. They were good, but not very engaging. I can see why the Killers hate them. But you know who loves the Bravery? Football dudes, football dudes just getting to New York for their summer internships. The Bravery was just the thing for them.

Now I'm in Chicago and I think the Rustens are still sleeping on my futon. They were great guests, I can't believe that I hadn't seen them for two years. With any luck I'll be able to visit them (and some of you other loyal readers) out in the Bay area sometime soon.

Also, I can't believe I just have to go to sleep one more time before seeing my last Star Wars movie. What a time to be alive.

I have tasted of the Take 5 bar. Pretty good, man. Pretty good.

I've actually seen it around a bunch.
