Best It Took Me About a Year to Post All These Photos from Friday

Friday morning Jared and Karen Rusten showed up in New York because Jared was going to be exhibiting a chair of his at this big, fancy furniture show. Jared put me right to work (look! obviously I'm just waking up) on creasing his Jared-brochures.



I creased so many, but there were hundreds more to do.



Whilst I creased, Jared tended to his chair.



Getting a taxi to take us and the chair to the exhibition was no easy task.



But we did it!



Then we met up with Jared and Karen's friends Jon and Jill and their son Owen and went to Chipotle where Jon and Jared argued over which pen was the best.



Then we went to the Moma. Oddly, I had never been to the Moma before. Would you believe I thought it was awesome?



There was a great goat statue.



Karen took fashion shots of Jon.



Silly Moma, everyone knows helicopters aren't art.



When I was on my mission in Mexico City I went to a museum that had this chair at it. Good to see you again, Japanese flower chair.



Jon is an architecture student at Harvard, so he said lots of informative stuff when we were at the architecture exhibit, stuff like "My friend made this model."



Who would live in a glass house out in the woods? Me. I would.



Amongst the design items on display was this keyboard with a plate built into it.



I just could not figure out when my flight was leaving.



Probably my favorite chandelier ever.



Funny. There was lots of furniture at the museum. If you think there's been a lot of furniture-related content today, just wait until tomorrow.



I am so into this rocking-chaise.



There was a great exhibit on the proposals for the High Line. They're pretty strict about almost touching this model.



Everywhere I turned there were models of houses enclosed in cases.



I liked these photos of ladies making faces.



From the museum I could see where I'd be working this summer.



Hey Cindy! Look, it's that Schiele painting!



Back in 1997 my Mom gave me a collection of Spanish short stories and this painting was the cover.



This Pollack made me feel faint. It was absolutely overwhelming.



Remember this painting for tomorrow's post.



I took so many photos of bizarre heads. I'm not even posting all of them I've got so many.

Or this one of me.



People find inspiration in all sorts of things.



Seriously, we were only at the museum for 2 hours at the most and they were some of the best hours of my New York life. Moma, I'll be returning soon and taking my time.



Then we went to Brooklyn to meet up with a friend of the Rustens' called "Brooklyn Chris." We went to Alma, a favorite local restaurant of his.



I 100% approve of Alma. It's now on my very short list called "New York City Mexican Restaurants That Brigham Approves of 100%."



On the way out of Brooklyn I saw this great looking lawn.
