Best The Cat is 19

Our cat is nineteen today. I've been told that's old for a cat. The first time we brought home a bag of dry cat food he went absolutely berserk and mauled the grocery bag to get at it. He's since moved on to human dry food. I think our relationship peaked roughly fourteen years ago when the foot of my bed was his favorite place to sleep (before moving on to the top of my parents' armoire for a few years and then to the place in the basement where we keep the hats and gloves and also before I minded that I was real allergic to him) and the summer after my senior year when he caught us a rabbit and let it loose in the house. Since then I don't know that he's done all that much interesting, he's kind of been coasting on his reputation as the cranky pet. Still, good animal. I'm sure he'd protect us if he had to.
