Saturday night was the annual Roosevelt Island Party. It was way too dark out on the island to even take cool underexposed photos of amigos, as seen here . . . see, this isn't a cool underexposed photo, it's just a Dark photo of Jeff and Karisa . . . I think.
While heading down to the subway (or maybe the tram?) to leave the island we were invited to ride home from the island through Queens in a windowless van. Why not, right? When taking photos in a superdark van, you just don't know how they're going to turn out.
It turns out some people look fine in the dark . . .
Others, well, I don't think they even realize that they're making a fist and raising an eyebrow.
Then, completely unrelated, on Tuesday night Kristin's birthday was celebrated at Sushi Samba.
They mix up all your sushi and bring it out on a big platter that they put in the middle of the table so that you can't get to it.
But eventually I was able to locate my tuna-fois gras-and gold leaf (YES. GOLD LEAF!) roll.
I tried to get that gold leaf sushi digested as quickly as possible so that tiny little pirates didn't climb down my throat after it.
Looking down the table. Wait . . . what's Josh doing? Is he shimmying?
Yeah, he's shimmying.
I didn't realize my camera was still zoomed in when I snapped this snap of Jenna.
See, I told you we were headed downhill once the Utah posts ended.

I believe that does look like Jeff...Jeffrey Butler to be exact. I, on the other hand, saw no site of Karisa on the island of Roos. I did see her and Birthday Queen Kristin at Sushi Sambalicious though. Who ever said that birthdays were a step down from vacationing?
