These are two expressions I invented this weekend. Feel free to use them yourself:
"Not the dumbest rock in the box."
"Not the cutest puppy in the window."
(Of course both need to be preceded by "He's/She's not . . .")
Also, I was wondering: Why hasn't anyone made a new version of Pippi Longstocking lately? Wouldn't people like that?
PS If I haven't already told you, it's finals time. Don't expect much from me, or of me. (Not that you had)
if he is the dumbest rock in the box then he's not the sharpest knife in the drawer or not the shiniest tool in the shed . . . or whatever
ReplyDeleteI never really cared for Pippi Longstockings.
ReplyDeleteI think they need to turn some of those awesome John Bellairs novels into films! I loved those when I was little. "Revenge of the Wizard's Ghost" in particular.
Also, the Bruce Coville ones; "Jeremy Thatcher, Dragon Hatcher" and "The Monster's Ring" were the best of the series and certainly have a cinematic feel to them.
John Bellairs! "The Eyes of the Killer Robot"!! That book spooked me out. Probably I'll dig it out for another look over Christmas break, maybe.
ReplyDeleteWhat about a bag of hammers?
ReplyDeletee.g. he/she's as dumb as a bag of hammers?
not the cutest puppy in the window... its genius.
ReplyDeleteumm brig, i'm pretty sure i've already heard that cutest puppy in the window one, but then maybe i heard from you.
